Alloys Produced

Centrifugal Casting

a process in which centrifugal force is used to provide pressure on a mold revolving outside its axis of rotation. The pressure forces the heavier metal to the outside of the mold, allowing the lighter impurities to float to the center where they can be machined away.

The Technology and the Process

The technology begins with a simple concept: Centrifugal force drives any natural impurities to the center of the casting...
But of course, this process is not so simple.

  • All metals are alloyed at our facility from base materials...not ingot.
  • The alloy melting process is performed through electric induction furnaces.
  • Alloyed metal is deposited into molds exerting high centrifugal force.
  • The centrifugal force drives gases and oxides to the center where they are later machined away.
  • All castings are then semi-machined to customer configurations.

Thorough testing and inspection are performed throughout the entire manufacturing process. The final inspection and testing determines whether the product is ready for shipment.
